Spent early years as army brat bouncing between bases which prepared him for a career in the film business. Went against fathers wishes to become career military officer and mothers wishes to become priest to pursue the obvious alternative as a Director of Photography. Early career as a professional musician then as a producer/director for PBS before stumbling onto John Boorman's crew shooting Deliverance which inspired his passion for film. Attracted to water, fire and impossible challenges. Priorities are his daughter and family, inspiratinal images and sailing. Searching for the meaning of life but will settle sometimes for a simple explanation. |
